A health watchdog has found many London ambulances to be "unclean" during a
routine inspection. The London Ambulance Service NHS Trust has been
running
a pilot scheme to combat the problem, where outside contractors clean and
restock the emergency vehicles every 24 hours. From today the pilot scheme
is set to become permanent.
